Think local: discover these kitchen, bath and hardware brands you should know.
We think local because we are local. If you’re a California native, you probably get it, and likely agree that supporting our SoCal local businesses and economy is important.
As an independent, local, and family-owned company, we make it our mission to shine light on fellow Californian brands that, like us, are proud to be born in the Golden State. From sun-soaked beaches and high deserts to metropolitan landscapes, California is and remains one the world’s best places to create, innovate and grow companies.
Although we offer over 300 brilliant brands, many from Italy, France, Germany, and other delightfully faraway places, let’s take a moment to celebrate the kitchen, bath and hardware brands born right here in our backyard.
CALIFORNIA FAUCETS
Established in 1988 in Huntington Beach, visionary founder Fred Silverstein laid the foundation for California Faucets with a simple yet novel approach several decades ago: provide top-notch, customizable products, manufacture locally, ensure swift deliveries, and offer unparalleled customer service—an ethos unheard of in the industry at that time.
What first began as a mom-and-pop business grew into a family-run affair. Fred's son, Jeff, joined in 1997, infusing the business with his keen design sense. Cousin Noah Taft was recruited in 2002, bringing his Hollywood writer/producer experience to bolster the brand. Jeff's sisters, Tina and Sue, also contributed their talents to the marketing and sales efforts.
Still family and independently owned, California Faucets remains poised for growth while still holding Fred's core values dear.

DACOR
Dacor remains the cool kid in the kitchen game, bringing the heat with a mix of innovation and culinary finesse. Started in 1965 by Stanley M. Joseph in Pasadena, Dacor epitomizes CA’s laid-back vibe but is all business when it comes to high-end kitchen appliances. Dacor's journey has been a story of pushing boundaries—in 1948, Stan Joseph developed the first fully self-contained ventilating hood for residential use, then in 1952, he refined it, making it the first to fit under cabinets. He and the Dacor team have continued to wow with cutting-edge tech, introducing the first-ever indoor electric barbecue to the public in 1956.
Dacor had been continuously owned and operated by three generations of the Joseph family until it was sold to Samsung in August 2016. The company's headquarters and 325,000 sq ft manufacturing facility were based in City of Industry, California until 2021, however the company still operates a factory showroom in central Los Angeles.
From sleek design to top-notch performance, Dacor is the kitchen wizard you want in your culinary crew.

When Naomi Nielson Howard, founder of Native Trails, was a student at Cal Poly (studying social services with a dual minor in business and Spanish) she had the idea—the very bright idea—to found a company that could double as the focus of her class projects. She had spent childhood vacations in Central Mexico, the home of her stepfather, and fallen in love with the aesthetic and the many craftspeople she met on their trips. The idea to launch a small business of importing handmade crafts set her on a course that would ultimately lead to one of today’s most innovative and environmentally focused kitchen and bath manufacturers.
