Kitchen and Bath Showrooms Los Angeles County

The Best New Launches and Award-Winning Designs

We’re thrilled to announce that Interior Design magazine’s Best of 2017 winners include four of our incredible vendors: the Calma tub by Stone Forest won for Bath Fixtures; Fontane Bianche by Salvatori + Fantini won for Bath Fittings; Liebherr won Kitchen Appliances with its HW8000 wine cabinet; and Watermark’s Elements faucet won Kitchen Fixtures & Fittings. We already know we carry the best designs but it certainly feels good to see our partners enjoy this kind of recognition. There were many honorees who deserve mention too: Duravit and Kallista for bathroom cabinetry designs, Dornbracht and Kohler for bathroom taps, Blu Bathworks and Kohler for tubs, BlueStar for ovens and Thermador for dishwashers. Well done, everyone!

Orange County-based Baldwin Hardware has launched its latest collection, this time tapping L.A. designer Erinn Valencich. The collection, aptly named Hollywood Hills, exudes Erinn’s signature unfussy style and reveals her interest in 1930s industrial design. The pieces are elegant, sleek and modern, just like her interiors. (Click here to see our Designers We Love post, Going for Glamor, featuring Erinn.) The cabinet and door hardware offerings include a statement-making 24-inch back plate, tubular handle sets, mortise entrance sets, knobs, rosettes, a deadbolt, and a variety of cabinet and appliance pulls, available in nineteen finishes. (We’re told her favorite finishes are polished chrome and vintage brass.) “We felt it was important to design a collection that feels fresh, yet timeless. Especially for something as permanent as hardware,” explains Erinn. The collection is also available with Baldwin’s smart lock technology, called Evolved. The electronic system is controlled via an app on your phone and lets you (and those you allow) unlock the door with the touch of a finger—no fumbling for keys. Krista Schrock and David John Dick of DISC Interiors have launched a new rug collection with Marc Phillips—and it’s absolutely beautiful. (We’ve been fans of their work for a long time now and were thrilled to feature them in our Designers We Love column a few years ago.) The rug designs are inspired by the California’s vast stretches of farmland and vineyards, and also pay homage to Dansaekhwa, the Korean painting movement of the 1970s that focused solely on neutral colors. The handmade collection, called Grassland, is available in several standard sizes and a range of natural hues like indigo, spruce and wheat. Custom colors and sizes are also available.

“A ‘wine-cellar’ need not necessarily be in the cellar,” wrote celebrated Russian wine writer Alexis Lichine in his seminal 1967 encyclopedia, Wine & Spirits. “With a little ingenuity, it is often possible to convert some corner into a store for wines that are to be consumed reasonably soon.”
