The Theft of Neptune Glassworks Studio & How We Can Help Give Uri Davillier the Tools He Needs to Continue
Like all of us, lighting designer Uri Davillier from Neptune Glassworks was navigating through the challenges of trying to keep his business afloat during this current Covid-19 crisis when the unthinkable happened. In the dead of night on Saturday, March 29th, Neptune Glassworks downtown Los Angeles studio was burglarized resulting in the devastating loss of all of their essential glassblowing equipment, tools and molds. The timing, as you can imagine, could not be worse.
Those who are familiar with their stunning, hand-blown glass designs including Uri’s signature bullet drinkware and elegant teardrop chandelier can attest to Neptune Glasswork’s uncompromising artistic vision. The level of craftsmanship their studio produces is truly inspiring and they have become an integral part of our design community.
Neptune Glassworks needs our help putting the pieces back together. Here’s what we can do:
- Join us for an IG LIVE with Uri Davallier this Monday, April 6th at 5 pm @SnyderDiamond
- Visit their GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/rebuild-neptune-glassworks to donate and even get a little something in return
- Donations over $100 will receive a pair of hand blown glasses ; when we reopen.
- Donations over $1,000 will receive a tower light ; when we reopen.
