Keep Calm and Carry Kast

This British company's high-style sinks are shaking up our showrooms.

We’re thrilled to carry Kast among our roster of incredible, international vendors. The company, based in England’s East Midlands, is producing some of the most interestingly shaped and pigmented concrete sinks we’ve ever seen. They’re sophisticated, customizable and made-to-order. Plus, they can do large runs as well as one-offs, so they’re as suited to commercial projects as they are to residential ones. It’s no surprise they made the Dezeen Awards 2018 shortlist, which presents the hottest new products on the market.

Founded in 2013, Kast is a division of Lowinfo, a company founded by art student Tim Bayes, who had begun exploring ways of using concrete in contemporary interiors. The sinks were the first of their kind and truly filled a void in the market. In 2018, Kast upped the ante with Kast Canvas, a series of basins that further explore the design possibilities of concrete by added surface decoration. Subtle patterns on the sinks’ exteriors create a textural element and an even greater sense of personality.
