Watch the interior designer serve up salmon and asparagus--and dish on why you should "fish for your wish."
Donna Livingston is well-known for the award-winning portfolio of residential and commercial interiors she’s created over her 30+ year career—and she’s been named to the prestigious Architectural Digest AD100 Top Designer list four times to date—but what’s lesser known is that this design expert has a talent for cooking, too. Under California’s current stay-at-home order she hasn’t ordered out even once! And she hasn’t been idle. While continuing to oversee projects, Livingston is busily building a video content library, filming everything from how-to’s to cooking demos. Here, she whips up salmon and asparagus on her Wolf rangetop.
Her home kitchen features Wolf’s dual-stacked sealed burners, which offers two levels of flame ports— essentially they’re two-in-one burners, which offer home chefs ultimate control from intense heat to the gentlest of simmer settings. The kitchen-loving designer also custom-designed a deep drawer for pots positioned just below her range for easy storage-to-stovetop efficiency.
Watch the video below to cook alongside Livingston, who dishes on the latest cookbook she’s using, sprinkles in tips ranging from cookware and techniques, shares the music she’s listening to and shows off her key ingredient for flavorful fish: Rub with Love’s Salmon Rub. Don’t miss her post-pandemic “wish list” either—let’s just say that she’s looking forward to turning up the heat with a flame outside her kitchen sometime soon, too.
