Kitchen and Bath Showrooms Los Angeles County

Beautifully Water-Wise

Everywhere we go, people are talking about the historic drought gripping our state. You're probably finding the same thing, too. Recent reports have found that the San Joaquin Valley is sinking by as much as two-inches every month, and just a few weeks ago the Department of Water Resources initiated its new “turf and toilet” rebate program to further Governor Brown’s executive order to dramatically reduce water use. And while we hope for an El Niño winter to relieve some of stress (though we then fear for our hillsides and peoples' safety), we're now told that not even months of heavy rains will be enough to restore our reservoirs to healthy levels.

But it’s not a hopeless situation.

There are so many things each of us can do to significantly lower our usage. We all know about taking shorter showers and fixing dripping faucets but there’s also A LOT our household and office appliances can do to help. For this week’s post, we’ve rounded up some of the most efficient products available at Snyder Diamond to encourage you to really think about how much water you’re wasting in your kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms. We don’t expect you to tear out everything and start anew (though we can certainly help with that!) but a simple change-out here and there—even just a new shower head—will make a difference.

For more information on the products and manufacturers seen above, come by our showrooms, where we have even more options to share, and to learn more about water conservation, as well as details on the new incentive programs, check out BeWaterWise.com
