Snyder Diamond is thrilled to be a part of WestEdge again this year—and this year we’re especially excited to sponsor a lounge space where we’ll also be live broadcasting our Convo by Design (CXD) podcast series. We wanted to offer WestEdge visitors a comfortable place to relax, work and listen to the interviews, and we couldn’t be happier to have Ryan White Designs outfitting our spectacular tent.
“When we decided to create a social media and podcast space at WestEdge, we wanted to partner with a designer who shared our vision on creating new ways to engage with customers,” says Jeff Chojnacki, our Director of Stores. “Ryan’s contemporary American aesthetic, along with his social media finesse, seemed like a good fit for what we wanted to achieve.”
“The theme of any project I design is Cultivated Living and a Well-Traveled Home, but what that means is, of course, different for every project,” adds Ryan, who started his career in the fashion industry in New York City and founded Ryan White Designs in L.A. in 2012. He quickly won commissions for projects throughout the L.A. area, several of which you can see in the above slideshow. “For this project, I was inspired by Americana, the West, and my wedding in Wyoming last year,” he explains. Ryan sourced many of the tent’s design features from the incredible prop houses at Warner Bros. (We blogged about their design services earlier this year.) You can hear more about the experience when he co-hosts a CXD discussion with set decorator and head of Warner Bros.’ property department, Robert Greenfield, and our own Russ Diamond on Friday, November 4th at 3:15 p.m.
“WestEdge is such a great event, but what I love most is seeing what’s fresh and new in design,” says Ryan. “I think the panels are so valuable. I always enjoy hearing from other professionals in our field—their experiences and recommendations. I totally believe in sharing our collective knowledge as designers and design professionals. It elevates all of us.”
We couldn’t agree more and feel fortunate to have such terrific collaborators at our side. Come by and see us, we can’t wait to show it off!
