One of our favorite purveyors of luxury wellness designs for the home—a booming market, is Purificare. We’ve blogged about them in the past (like our post on their Jee-O outdoor shower earlier this year) but we wanted to show you just a little bit more of what offer, like their bold range of tubs, sleek outdoor foot showers, and their incredible architect-designed home spa concept, Sasha by Jacuzzi.
Aquamass is a collection of wildly customizable tubs and washbasins designed by some of Europe’s leading creatives. The manufacturer has tapped the likes of furniture designer Xavier Lust (with a name like that, you know he makes sexy tubs!), fashion designer Stella Cadente, Michel Boucquillon, and husband-and-wife product designers Catherine et Bruno Lefèbvre. With dozens of tub shapes available and with everything from matching sinks to chromo therapy, not to mention external wraps of animal prints, wood, leather, stone and mosaic—if you can imagine it, Aquamass can make it.
And because we Angelenos are lucky enough to enjoy a Mediterranean climate, Purificare’s outdoor designs can be put to use all year. The BO+ foot showers, available in polished stainless steel, rinse dirt and sand off your feet with just a push of a button. Two of our favorites are the Marte foot shower and the Saturna, a freestanding outdoor shower with hot/cold mixer, diverter, and foot wash. The remote-controlled DOME exterior light offers a 3,000-watt infrared heater and a 100-watt halogen lamp that give off a warm, flattering light. The freestanding fixture, which was highlighted in Architectural Digest, is available in high-gloss black, matte black or high-gloss white. It also comes in a pendant form.
Sasha is a unique three-in-one wellness concept designed by architect Alberto Apostoli. The “cabin” is designed to be a place of relaxation, either in solitude or with your partner. It’s the ultimate intimate, holistic space. Sasha is comprised of three modules: a sauna, a shower and a hammam. (You can see more in this video.) The modules can sit separately or in number of different configurations. It was even incorporated into an incredibly chic pool house in Amagansett, New York, that's got us feeling inspired.
