It's a razzle-dazzle design that you can style two ways.
Ever since Kreoo, a division of Italian firm Decormarmi, came to our showrooms not quite ten years ago, it’s been a perennial favorite. Designers and homeowners appreciate the company’s handcrafted marble vessels and their especially innovative designs—Bubbles is one of our favorites—keep everyone coming back. (Even Kathryn M. Ireland opted for one of their sinks in the powder room of her new Santa Monica home. You can see more here.)
Introducing the new Diamond Sink
Designers Paolo Ulian and Moreno Ratti have collaborated on a brand new sink inspired by diamond cutting—a design that launched at ICFF this year. The faceted design, simply called Diamond, is available in more than a dozen marble hues (omg, the pink) and is cleverly designed to sit in two different ways. Set the bowl flat for a traditional effect, or tilt it to create an added element of drama. See what we mean when we said especially innovative? Either way you install it, the design makes a beautiful statement and exemplifies a level of craftsmanship that has been passed down through Italy’s master stonemasons for centuries. Diamond comes in two sizes, medium (60 x 32 x 60 cm) and large (65 x 34 x 65 cm). And yes, they’re a wee bit on the heavy side, at about 70 and 90 pounds, respectively.
What does Kreoo mean, exactly?
Funny name, you say? The word “kreoo” comes from the Greek verb kraino, meaning “to create, to realize.” Drop that one at your next cocktail party. They’re one of our most beloved vendors and we’re happy to have featured them here many times over the years. Check out a few more of their gorgeous sinks in the links below:
