5 Sexy Sinks that Make Your Bathroom a Destination

There’s been a subtle shift in how we’re using our homes recently, have you noticed? While most still champion open floor plans, the latest trend seems to be making those spaces as multi-functional as possible: kitchens double as living rooms and bathrooms are home spas that can even be home offices. It’s a great big mash up, and one that puts a greater emphasis on the importance of beauty, simplicity and efficiency. Can a vanity or a sink create an interactive moment that influences your day for the better? We think it can, so this week we’re looking at stylish sinks that turn the bathroom into a destination. We've chosen five of our favorite showstoppers, each offering clean, organic and sexy  silhouettes. They encourage quiet moments of self-care and a greater sense of well-being.

The Alape Betty Blue rectangular washstand melds the simplicity of a parson's table with the dramatic effect of infinity-edge pools.

The Kalla pedestal and basin sinks from Mastella, designed by Oriano Favaretto, take their form from the calla lily and bring a sensual feel to the bathroom.

Italian manufacturer Milldue has been producing luxury bathroom furnishings since 1976, and we're absolutely smitten with the sleek lines and smooth finishes of their impeccably chic designs.

Ronbow's Vento sink and vanity collection was created in collaboration with designers from Pininfarina, so it's no surprise that its form references the sleek shapes of Italian sports cars.

Duravit's best-selling rectangular design, Vero, projects a bold and masculine appeal in high-gloss black.
