Brands featured in the video include:

FANTINI

Nestled on the shores of Lake Orta in the Piedmont region of Italy, Fantini occupies a design factory, a family business and a boutique hotel. The company’s values as well as its designs are heavily influenced by the underlying theme of water.

Bringing clean drinking water to those who don’t have it is a long term initiative called “100 Fontane: Fantini for Africa” intended to bring water outlets to the communities of Masango, Burundi, Africa. Since 2012, Fantini has dedicated their most iconic line- Balocchi- to this effort.

Balocchi came out with a bang in 1978 and was the first series of colored taps to meet with enormous and broad success in the market. With an obvious Pop Art reference, it is fun, playful and colorful. Fantini’s Balocchi has earned iconic status and owns a place in the Italian design history books.

Normally this time of year, Snyder Diamond would be in Italy enjoying our Fantini Weekend experience with a select group of designers. Daniella Fantini would be our gracious hostess. We would be staying on beautiful Lake Orta where the company is located. As a tribute to that as well as our gracious hosts of past and future, we share this video of Fantini’s Headquarters designed by Piero Lissoni.

GESSI

According to Gessi, “the most perceptive consumers are expressing the need for a return to authenticity, and a desire to surround themselves with products that exude a feeling of reliability, true depth and quality.”

In their first collection by an American designer, Gessi tapped David Rockwell from The Rockwell Group to create INCISO. The INCISO Collection is the embodiment of old era brassware manufacturing infused with modern architectural taste and enhanced by the most advanced metal processing technology. The result is a warm, modern line with subtle and elegant industrial details.

VOLA

Quality is part of the culture at Vola’s factory in Denmark. Snyder Diamond offers an entire VOLA wall of products from the iconic HV1 to the KV1 shown in some of the 27 different colors/finishes available. The VOLA faucet was first designed in the 1960s by renowned architect Arne Jacobsen, and it is the only faucet which resides in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

DORNBRACHT

As you would expect from a German manufactuer, Dornbracht stands out for their quality and uncompromising attention to detail—clear-cut lines, precise edges and exceptional finishes. Dornbracht finishes are characterised by an intensive sheen, an impressive depth of color as well as a high degree of durability. They use traditional craftsmanship as the basis for ensuring the highest quality possible today – a combination of function, form and quality production for every single product design.

With its timelessly beautiful design and clear, purist character, the TARA CLASSIC is known the world over as the original design icon. Only the original TARA CLASSIC can claim the perfect layout and proportion of cross handles and outlet spout.

No supply impact expected

Dornbracht’s production and most suppliers are located near the company’s headquarters in Iserlohn, Germany, which allows them to maintain production and delivery times. To date, they have not been negatively affected by Covid.
