This Savvy SmartMirror is an In-Room Concierge

Designed for hospitality projects, Electric Mirror's latest innovation delivers all the content a hotel guest could want.

Calling all Hospitality Designers

Last fall, Electric Mirror introduced the Savvy SmartMirror to much acclaim and followed it shortly with an order for 150 mirrors from the Marriott’s Sinclair Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. A fortuitous start! (And an interesting hotel, too—just opened, it’s an adaptive reuse project by Dallas-based Merriman Associates Architects and a 1902s Art Deco landmark.)

The design, which was created specifically for the hospitality industry, offers personalized communication, information and entertainment. Replacing those awkward hotel television channels that greet you upon entering the room, Savvy more handily and subtly provides information on hotel services, as well as local events and attractions. Guests can make dinner reservations directly, call their car, and make special requests. Need an ice bucket and champagne flutes? They’re just a tap away. Guests can also set the room’s features to their own comforts (music, the curtains, the lighting) while the on-mirror display streams just like any television. And because the mirror is built into the room’s design, there aren’t any clunky devices or special apps required. Savvy is available in both a 10- and 22-inch interactive touch-screen display, as well as with or without AI voice capability.

And because it was designed with Hospitality Management Software, hoteliers will appreciate its analytics, remote troubleshooting, maintenance and monitoring, energy efficiency, and built-in security features. Management can also personalize guests’ experiences by messaging them directly, and make the most of branded content to increase revenue.
